Kris Balekian Hayes is an experienced Dallas attorney whose first goal is to serve her family law clients. She decided to become a family lawyer after going through a divorce of her own. Kris has represented individuals and families in Texas, Georgia and Oklahoma for more than a decade. From contested divorces to child possession disputes to out-of-court mediation and arbitration proceedings, she provides the knowledge and expertise to help people during what can be one of the most stressful times in their lives.
Kris is very involved in the legal community, including current membership in the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. Balekian Hayes is recognized as a women-owned small business by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council.
Kris earned her law degree at St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio after completing her Bachelor of Business Administration at Southern Methodist University in Dallas. She continued her education by earning a Master of Business Administration at St. Mary’s University School of Business.
She is licensed to practice before all Texas state courts, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas, and the Court of Appeals for the Fifth District of Texas in Dallas.
When she is not busy representing clients, Kris enjoys spending time with her husband Phillip and their children.
