Experience
Monique is a Texas-licensed attorney, admitted to practice in October 2019, with a strong academic foundation and a client-centered approach to family law. She began her career as a law clerk and judicial intern, gaining foundational experience in both federal and state courts. From May to June 2017, she served as Judicial Intern to the Honorable Kenneth Hoyt at the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, where she drafted opinions on habeas petitions and motions for summary judgment, analyzed case pleadings, and provided recommendations on case dispositions. From July to August 2017, she served as Judicial Intern to the Honorable Keli Aiken of the 354th District Court in Greenville, Texas, conducting research, drafting briefs for criminal and civil matters, and observing court proceedings to develop practical courtroom insight.
Following these internships, Monique served as a law clerk at Larmond, Evans, & Brignac, PLLC from January 2018 to May 2019, where she drafted petitions, motions, discovery, and pretrial motions across multiple areas of law, managed client communications, and supervised legal interns. She also gained experience in immigration law as a law clerk at Berry Appleman & Leiden LLP in Dallas from September 2019 to April 2020, preparing PERM applications, I-140, I-485, H-1B, and H-4 petitions, and drafting responses to requests for evidence. From October 2019 to June 2020, Monique served as a contract attorney at Larmond, Evans, & Brignac, representing clients in family, civil, and criminal matters, managing client intake, and litigating hearings, temporary restraining orders, and appeals.
In June 2020, Monique became Head of Litigation at Udeshi Law Firm, PLLC in Dallas, where she oversees a litigation team of six attorneys and nine paralegals. In this role, she managed case strategy from initial intake to finalization, litigated high-stakes family and civil law matters, and handled all aspects of firm operations, including training new attorneys, managing employee performance, and fostering effective client communication. Monique currently serves as an Investigator and Litigator for the Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee of the Texas Bar (since August 2023), where she investigates UPL claims, issues cease and desist letters, and litigates cases requiring injunctive relief.
Prior to these roles, Monique served as a Family Law Associate Attorney at Carrington, Coleman, Sloman, and Blumenthal, L.L.P. in Dallas, where she was a key member of the family law team managing high-asset and complex property disputes.
