Experience
Emory is a Texas Bar Certified Attorney. Before joining Balekian Hayes, PLLC, in 2022, she gained experience in several internships and full-time roles. Her first internship was for the Pinak Law Firm, PLLC. She went from there to work as a legal intern at the Arnall Family Foundation, which focuses on criminal justice reform, youth welfare and justice, and homelessness.
Additionally, Emory worked as a legal intern and full-time attorney at Diversion Hub. This collaborative, multi-agency network strives to connect individuals in the criminal legal system with life-stabilizing services. At Diversion Hub, Emory honed her skills in criminal defense, policy advocacy, and policy research.
Following her time at Diversion Hub, Emory was employed full-time by The Devadoss Law Firm, P.L.L.C., where she focused on labor and employment law and transactional law. Her work experience has reaffirmed her commitment to justice, legal and social reform, and the desire to find creative solutions for those facing legal obstacles. Since joining the Balekian Hayes, PLLC team, Emory has demonstrated an unwavering dedication to her clients.
Emory has also given back to the communities where she works and lives by volunteering with several local service organizations, including the OKC City Rescue Mission, Buckner Children and Family Service, Inc., and Lubbock Habitat For Humanity. In her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband, their three dogs, and their extended family.
