Victoria Holder: Family Law Attorney
Victoria is a respected family law attorney on the team at Balekian Hayes, PLLC. Victoria is a skilled litigator and dedicated advocate with extensive experience in family law, children’s rights, and civil litigation. Admitted to the Texas State Bar in 2025, Victoria combines rigorous legal training with hands-on courtroom experience to achieve optimal outcomes for clients. Education
Victoria completed her undergraduate studies at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Religious Studies in 2018. She went on to earn her law degree from the University of Texas School of Law in Austin, Texas, graduating in May 2025.
Experience
Before joining Balekian Hayes, PLLC, during law school at the University of Texas School of Law, Victoria distinguished herself as a top advocate, earning multiple scholarships—including the Texas Law Scholarship, Baker Botts Advocacy Scholarship, and Tom Hathaway Advocacy Scholarship—and securing victories in prestigious competitions such as the MLK Civil Rights Competition. She served as Assistant Director of the school’s satirical publication Assault & Flattery, was an active member of the Mock Trial Team and Board of Advocates, and represented children as a Student Attorney Ad Litem in the Children’s Rights Clinic.
Victoria gained substantive litigation and transactional experience through competitive summer associate positions at Shackelford McKinley & Norton and Godwin Bowman in Dallas, where she drafted motions, discovery requests, and settlement proposals, supported lead counsel in trials, and conducted critical legal research on complex issues ranging from municipal liability to family law conflicts of interest. Earlier, she served as an intern for the 303rd District Court and Associate Judge Jean Lee, gaining a unique perspective on judicial decision-making and family law practice.
Prior to law school, Victoria worked at Burns Charest LLP as Executive Assistant to the Managing Partner, coordinating case management and assisting with trial preparation.
